Project Sage:  Family Matters
7731 N. Marshfield Ave., Chicago

Goal:  To actively engage the children and families of Family Matters to learn about and implement energy-efficiency at Family Matters and in their homes.  The project will take a hands-on approach to educate the kids on home energy-efficiency, and projects and behaviors that can improve energy efficiency. 

 
Work Complete:  Energy Audit

Target Projects:  Replace old boiler, introduce insulation in attic/rim bands

DIY/$0 Cost projects:  weatherstripping, store window AC units during winter

Target Savings:  30-40% utility bills to be diverted to core programming
